Making a Difference

The threats of homicide, violence against children, human trafficking and sexual violence are important to address to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development. They pave the way for the provision of access to justice for all and for building effective, accountable institutions at all levels.
To tackle these challenges and build a more peaceful, inclusive societies, there needs to be more efficient and transparent regulations put in place and comprehensive, realistic campaign and projects. The first steps towards protecting peace is the implementation of state peace ambassadors, global peace summit, and the creation of xinjiang peace initiatives.

Forest, Water & Land Centre

Doing What’s Needed

Climate change, deforestation, marine life endanger and desertification is now affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives, costing people, communities and countries dearly today and even more tomorrow. Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, weather events are becoming more extreme and greenhouse gas emissions are now at their highest levels in history. Without action, the world’s average surface temperature is likely to surpass 3 degrees centigrade this century. The poorest and most vulnerable people are being affected the most.
To strengthen the global response to the threat of forest, water & land, Altruistik Malaysia adopted the focus area, which went into force in November of 2019. In the focus area, efforts are being made to manage forests, marine and combat desertification. There are various initiative being implemented currently that promote the plants of tree in an equitable way.

Humanitarian, Disaster & Crisis Management Centre

Tackling the Issue

More than 700 million people, or 10% of the world population, still live in extreme poverty and is struggling to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation, to name a few. The majority of people living on less than $1.90 a day live in sub-Saharan Africa. Worldwide, the poverty rate in rural areas is 17.2 per cent—more than three times higher than in urban areas.Having a job does not guarantee a decent living. In fact, 8 per cent of employed workers and their families worldwide lived in extreme poverty in 2018. Poverty affects children disproportionately. One out of five children live in extreme poverty. Ensuring social protection for all children and other vulnerable groups is critical to reduce poverty.Poverty has many dimensions, but its causes include unemployment, social exclusion, and high vulnerability of certain populations to disasters, diseases and other phenomena which prevent them from being productive. Growing inequality is detrimental to economic growth and undermines social cohesion, increasing political and social tensions and, in some circumstances, driving instability and conflicts.
The Altruistik Malaysia Humanitarian, Disaster, & Crisis Management is the opportunity for all legally resident in Malaysia, to carry out an national/international volunteer service in Malaysia, Europe, Africa, Asia or South America.

Health & Education Centre

Sustainable Future Outreach

Obtaining a quality health & education is the foundation to creating Altruistik Malaysia focus area. In addition to improving quality of life, access to inclusive health & education can help equip locals with the tools required to develop innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems.
The reasons for lack of quality health & education are due to lack of adequately trained medical practitioners & teachers, poor conditions of hospital & schools and equity issues related to opportunities provided to rural area. For quality health & education to be provided to the impoverished families, investment is needed in educational campaigns, training workshops, medical & school building and improvement of water and electricity access to hospital & schools. Thisfocus area envisions to refocused effort to improve the quality of the education and acceptance among-st the community towards Health knowledge. Acceptance in education along the lines of gender, urban-rural location and other dimensions still run deep, and more investments in education infrastructure are required.
